QUICK AND EASY SNACKS
Grilled Sardine Baguette
Ingredients
1 small baguette, split in half lengthways
1 garlic clove, peeled and cut in half
1 can of sardines in oil
2 tablespoons fromage frais
1 teaspoon lemon/lime juice
2 tomatoes, sliced
salt and pepper
Method
- Toast the bread on both sides. Using the cut side of the garlic rub the cut side of the toasted bread.
- Drain the sardines and place in a bowl, mix in the fromage frais, lemon juice and seasoning.
- Spread the mixture on both pieces of bread and top with sliced tomato. Place under the grill until brown and bubbling.
- Serve immediately with salad and pickles.
