QUICK AND EASY SNACKS


Grilled Sardine Baguette


Ingredients
 
1 small baguette, split in half lengthways
1 garlic clove, peeled and cut in half
1 can of sardines in oil
2 tablespoons fromage frais
1 teaspoon lemon/lime juice
2 tomatoes, sliced
salt and pepper

Method


 
  1. Toast the bread on both sides. Using the cut side of the garlic rub the cut side of the toasted bread.
     
  2. Drain the sardines and place in a bowl, mix in the fromage frais, lemon juice and seasoning.
     
  3. Spread the mixture on both pieces of bread and top with sliced tomato. Place under the grill until brown and bubbling.
     
  4. Serve immediately with salad and pickles.
